Wine, coffee, and high technology can have very strong common ties. To learn about that connection, visit the upcoming event called 'From Silicon to Wine' on April 17th.

During the session, you will learn about Adam Kablanian's journey in winemaking and the tech world. Adam Kablanian founded Alexandrea Wine Factory, which is the first in Armenia to start producing Riesling, mixed with Chardonnay and Voskehat.

Mr. Kablanian, an expert in wine, decided to launch a winery in Armenia in 2017 to support the Armenian winemaking industry. Today, in Silicon Valley, Mr. Kablanian is a remarkably successful tech entrepreneur in the field of microchip design, having created 15 patents.

Adam Kablanian co-founded Virage Logic, which became the number one embedded memory provider worldwide, and opened a branch office in Armenia. His team of Armenian engineers designed three microchips used in the first-generation Apple iPod. The Armenian office became the center for Virage Logic’s flagship product, an important success story that encouraged other tech giants to move operations to Armenia.

Over the past decade, he founded iCON Communications in Armenia, providing the first wireless and affordable broadband internet connection to Armenians. As chairman of Paradromics, he is currently working on advanced technology to help people with spinal cord injuries and neurological diseases that restrict movement, hearing, or speech.

The event will be moderated by Karen Mr. Gyulbudaghyan, founder of Ground Zero Venture Café, UC Berkeley Skydeck Ambassador, founding partner at Strategic Values Ventures, and strategic advisor at the National Science and Technology Development Council.
